May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7 Held in downtown Issaquah the first Friday evening of every month from May through September, ArtWalk events feature all types of art, including visual, lyrical, musical and performance. The free events include live music around every corner, hands-on art projects and some special surprises.
Downtown Issaquah’s flagship event, ArtWalk enters its 11th year in 2012. Every first Friday of the month from May through September, ArtWalk transforms downtown businesses into artists’ galleries for the night. From the time ArtWalk started in 2002, the crowd has increased twelve-fold to about 2,000 people per event. The number of artists who participated has tripled. At the September 2011 ArtWalk there were 60 artists represented. Last year, an estimated 10,000 people came into downtown Issquah to see and purchase art, hear live music and show support for our historic downtown.
